Christina Cameron was born at Netherwood in 1844. She never married and was in domestic service. It is difficult to be completely sure these are the right census returns as there are never any of her own family members with her. Nevertheless it looks likely that in 1881 she was living in Logie in Stirlingshire as a domestic servant to Eliza Craik, Margaret Craik and Helen Scott Craik. In 1891 she was House Keeper Domestic to Rebecca M Lille and family, again in Logie. In 1901 she is in Balderdock, Stirlingshire as Housekeeper Domestic to Morrison Bryce and family. Christina died in 1910.
Mary was born at Netherwood in 1848. She married John Ritchie Brown in Sep 1875 and they had a son William. She died 15 January 1927 and the death record shows she was the widow of John Ritchie Brown and died of senility. The death was registered by William R Brown, son of the deceased, address in Giffnock, South of Glasgow. (SOURCE Scotlands People via Alex.) Also according to Alex, another source, Kay, has a nursing chair which belonged to Mary.
Margaret was born in 1854. In the 1881 census she is living with her parents and her occupation is General Servant. Kay told Alex that she was told that Margaret married James after Isabella died and they brought up the daughter. Alex has not been able to find anything to back this up though.
Isabella, Helen and William
Isabella was born in February 1856 at Netherwood. She married James Walker on 28 Dec 1878 and died 9 Feb 1879 just a few days after giving birth to a daughter Isabella Cameron Walker.
Helen was born in 1863 after the first Helen had died at 2 years old. In 1891 she is living with her 11 year old son and Christina. She must have had Daniel when she was just 17. In 1881 Daniel is with his grandmother, but Helen is not. It is possible she was a servant in Glasgow. In 1901 there is a Helen Cameron who is a housekeeper in Maryhill in Glasgow. Alex found out from Scotlands People that she died of a heart attack on 20 December 1929. The death record says something about how or where she was found but is difficult to read.
William was born in Sep 1865 at Overton. In 1881 he is living with his parents in Denny and his occupation is Patern Maker. Alex found from IGI that he got married in 1908 in New York to Annie Mackie MacDonald and they had 2 sons and 1 daughter.
